1975 JLC Atmos Clock

 A 1975 Jaeger - LeCoultre Atmos clock. A gilt brass case in good condition with side and top panels. An opening glass front and a transporting lock catch below the rotating disc. A caliber 526-5 JLC mechanism with 15 jewels. A chapter ring with arrowhead markers.

The Atmos clocks are perpetual and do not require winding. They use a hermetically sealed unit with bellows, similar to an aneroid barometer. It expands and contracts with minute temperature changes to power the clock. An inscription to the front 1966-1976 from Chrysler Car Company.
