A Victorian Northumberland longcase/Grandfather clock. A well proportioned mahogany case with an arched hood pediment with the original fretwork surmounted by 3 brass finials. Turned hood side columns. Acanthus leaves to the top of the trunk columns. Choice flame mahogany case veneers with rosewood crossbanding. The original turned feet. An arched painted dial with spaniels to the corners and a lady in a country scene to the arch. A seconds dials with brass hands and date aperture. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell. Circa 1845.
