A fine quality Georgian Kent bracket/table clock of neat proportions. A mahogany case with the original finish and brass carrying handle to the arched top. Brass case edging to the break-arch dial surround and standing on ogee brass bracket feet. An arched painted dial with the original finish and strike/silent to the top. Glass side apertures to view the mechanism. Well made, slim blued steel hands and signed to the dial 'J LOWMAN, RAMSGATE'. A fine quality 8-day duration twin fusee mechanism with rarer quarter striking on 2 bells. Border engraving to the mechanism and pendulum with higher quality pendulum regulation scale. Hour bell striking. The original pendulum transportation lock and winding key. The original key to the front and rear opening doors. Circa 1815.
