A French brass cased striking carriage clock. A brass case with an enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel 'moon' hands. Five minute outer dial markers and retailers name 'J W BENSON, 62 & 64 LUDGATE HILL LONDON'. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. A lever escapement. Push button repeating. Numbered 571. Circa 1890.
