 An elegant Georgian period London bracket/table clock. A well proportioned ebonised case with cast brass carrying handle and ogee brass bracket feet. A cast brass bezel to the opening front door. A strike/silent lever above the 12 o'clock position behind the front door. Fishscale brass side panels with red silk backing. A convex painted dial with blued steel hands and signed "Brown, Charing Cross, London". A glass back door to the twin fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell. A border engraved backplate with the makers name Brown, Charing Cross engraved on it. A pull repeat cord. Circa. 1805.
