An earlier 'one-piece' cased striking carriage clock by noted maker, Charles Oudin. An enamel dial signed 'Ch. Oudin Paris' with brass 'Breguet' hands and subsidiary dials for days of the week and months. An engraved case with the original gilding and a finely proportioned carrying handle. A lift up rear door with sliding shutters to wind and set the hands. An original escapement. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a bell with an outside striking count wheel. Circa 1860
