An impressive French brass and silvered cased striking carriage clock. A fine case with an enamel dial and silvered masking. Corinthian capped fluted front and rear bi-metal side columns. Dentil cornice mouldings and a stepped base. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. Push button repeating and subsidiary alarm. A lever escapement. Circa 1890
