A decorative French brass cased striking carriage clock. An enamel dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Red quarter hour markers and signed to the dial 'Elkington'. Lovely detailing to the case with gilded floral fretwork and fluted side pillars. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. A lever escapement visible through the oblong top glass. Circa 1900.
