A 1958 Longines Conquest stainless steel wristwatch. The dial is a rare and striking gloss black, with gilt accents. The hour markers are large and distinctive, featuring a 'chevron' style in a contrasting gilt finish. These markers are larger at the quarter-hour positions. The 'dauphine' hands, also gilt in color, with a sweep seconds. The applied logo is intersected by the words "Longines" and "Automatic".
A stainless steel case with thick lugs and a flat bezel. A screw down case back, adorned with the Conquest 'fish in seaweed' logo. This retains the majority of its original green application. The case back is signed with an inscription of 'Jones A. J, R.A.F'. Case reference 9000 12 843.
This watch is powered by a 19 jewel caliber 19 AS Longines mechanism.
