A 1950s LeCoultre 14K gold wristwatch. A silvered dial with applied gilt numerals of a 'dagger' style. A large V shaped numeral at 12 o'clock. The dial is signed 'LeCoultre' below 12, with Swiss Made to the 6 o'clock. A subsidiary seconds dial of a crosshair design. Gilt 'Sword' hands indicate the time.
A slim, two piece case with a sloped bezel and a centrally domed case back. The case has narrow lugs, each with a scrolled end. The case is marked to the back 14K Gold D&A, indicating its production by DiVincenzo & Arienti, a New York Watch Case manufacturer responsible for casing many top end Swiss brands that were imported into the USA. Case reference 625-690.
The watch is powered by a 17 jewel K480 Le-Coultre mechanism. Circa 1950s.
