A 1940s Movado Sport Wristwatch. An intricately designed dial with alternating Arabic numerals and lume dots within a main hour track. The outer section of the dial is a different tone, this contains the 5 minute markers and the minute track. A subsidiary seconds dial to 6 o'clock. A stainless steel case with unusual 'scarab' or 'crab claw' lugs, giving the watch a good presence on the wrist. The case has is manufactured for Movado, by renowned case maker Francois Borgel and bears his logo to the inner. The mechanism is complete with its original anti magnetic cover. A 15 jewel, manual wind mechanism signed 'Movado Factories'. Circa 1940s.
