A fine quality Georgian verge fusee bracket clock. An arched top mahogany case of good smaller proportions. A cast brass top handle and standing on brass ogee bracket feet. Brass inset moulding surrounding the dial face. Arched side apertures with fretwork behind glass panels. An arched painted dial with strike/silent blued steel hand to the arch. Blued steel hands and a date aperture to the lower section of the dial. An 8-day duration verge escapement, twin fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell. A well engraved floral backplate to the mechanism.

William Pearce of London is recorded in Baillies "Watchmakers & Clockmakers of the World" as working in London from 1804.
