A quality drop dial fusee wall clock. A mahogany case with the original side carvings. A cast brass bezel surround to the 12" painted dial signed 'Thomas Church, London' with blued steel hands. A side door and an opening bottom door. A brass surround to the visible glass pendulum aperture with brass inlaid decorations. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Circa 1840.
Thomas Church of London is recorded in Loomes 'Watch and Clockmakers of The World ' book as working in 1839.
