An English round dial fusee wall clock with a convex glass. A mahogany case with a cast brass bezel surround. A 12" painted dial signed 'Meyer & Co. Bristol'. An 8-day duartion timepiece fusee mechanism with tapered plates. Circa 1836. A good early example of a fusee dial clock.
Meyer & Co of Bristol are recorded in A J Moores' 'The Clockmakers of Bristol' book as working in Nicholas Street from 1836-1838.
