 A  Victorian fusee dial wall clock of small proportions. An oak case with a  brass bezel surround. A smaller 10" painted dial with blued steel hands and signed 'JOYCE WHITCHURCH'. A  8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism of higher quality with thick brass plates. The case has had a few dings to the base over the years! Circa 1875.


The company Joyce of Whitchurch are one of the oldest clock manufacturers in the UK. They were known for making clocks for public places and also railways. This example is believed to have a railway connection but no case markings to confirm this.
