 A  Victorian Welsh drop dial fusee wall clock. A rosewood case with lovely grain to the wood and the original side carvings. A carved glazed pendulum aperture. A brass bezel surround to the dial. A 12" painted dial signed ' EVANS WELSHPOOL' with blued steel hands.  An 8-day duration fusee mechanism. Circa 1860.

John Evans of Welshpool is recorded in Peates' 'Clock and Watchmakers in Wales' book as working in Broad Street from 1856-1874. A clock is noted in the Welsh Folk Museum.
