 A Victorian double fusee bracket clock with the original wall bracket by Edward Funnell of Brighton. Choice flame mahogany veneers with two-tone contrasts. Chamfered front sides with carved floral decorations. Side glass panels to view the mechanism with scrolled base side detailing. A twin fusee, 8-day mechanism striking the hours on a bell with a pendulum transportation lock. A convex glass and cast brass bezel to the painted dial with blued steel hands signed 'Edw Funnell, Brighton'. The original wall bracket. Circa 1875


Edward Fussell of Brighton recorded in Loomes' ' Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World' book as working from 1870 - 1878.
