 A fine quality Georgian London bracket/table clock. An ebonised case with a brass carrying handle to the top. Brass case edging and around the break-arch dial surround. Side sound fretwork and standing on bracket feet. An arched brass and silvered dial with strike/silent and slow/fast dial regulator to the top. Signed to the recessed cartouche 'Conyers Dunlop London'. A fine quality 8-day duration twin fusee mechanism striking the hours on a bell with backplate foliate engraving. A period winding crank key. Pull cord hour repeating.

Conyers Dunlop is a noted London clockmaker who was apprenticed in 1725 and became a member of The Clockmakers Company in 1733. He later was Master of The Clockmakers Company in 1758. This example dates to circa 1750.
