A British Air Ministry stop watch. This is a high quality split seconds chronograph that would have been used for navigation & bombing. It has a 1-60 seconds counter and 1-30 minutes. There are two control knobs for start/stop/reset functions. It has a 17 jewel Swiss mechanism of 8 hour duration. The rear of the case has the Air Ministry crown and the issue ref 6B/140.
These high precision examples are quite rare. Circa 1930.
