 An impressive Victorian Admiral Fitzroy 'The Atmoscope' barometer.  A golden oak case with the original carving to the pediment and sides. Twin vernier sliding scale adjusters. Twin dials with weather predictions and 28 to 31" and a large bore mercury tube. 

A 'storm tube' to the lower section and a silvered dial scale to a mercury thermometer. Weather prediction information on the two silvered sections to the middle. A plaque signed 'BIGGS MAIDENHEAD' as the retailer. Circa 1880.
