A historically important WW2 period RAF sector clock. A walnut case with a cast brass bezel and bevelled glass. A 14" original dial with the RAF laurel emblem and blued steel hands.

The 8-day, precision fusee mechanism is marked F.W Elliott Ltd. England. It is numbered 21082 and marked for the year 1943. I have kept the original gilding/lacquer to the mechanism plates. F.W. Elliott Ltd, based in Croydon, London, played a significant role in the British war effort during World War II, producing specialized clocks for the military, particularly the Royal Air Force along with aircraft parts.

The case inner has writing 'Valley Anglesey' which opened in 1941. There is a case stamp 'B 25' and Elliott Ltd.

These Sector clocks are arguably the most famous, designed with a specialized dial to assist air traffic controllers and fighter command in monitoring the movement of aircraft. They were crucial during the Battle of Britain.
