A fine quality solid silver singing bird box automatum. The original bird in excellent condition. Made circa 1900 by Griesbaum of Germany. Country scenes to the case front, sides and base.

A Swiss musical box playing 12 airs.

Music Boxes

A fine quality Musical box by noted makers Nicole Freres, no. 31145. A rosewood lid with marquetry inlays and satinwood edging. An amazing find with the original key, instructions, receipt and tune sheet. A 12-air example with rarer feature of 2 tunes per turn with a very large cylinder. Serviced to a high standard and plays very well. Retailed by Wales & McCulloch who worked at 32, Ludgate Street from 1862-1869. Please do ask to Skype or Face Time and you can hear it play!

A Victorian Swiss 8 airs musical box. A 3 bells in vue example which plays with the cylinder. The original time sheet showing the 8 tunes. A walnut and rosewood case with marquetry inlays. Overhauled to a high standard. Circa 1885

A Swiss miniature musical box. A green painted metal case with a village scene to the lid. Signed to the case 'St Croix en Suisse'. A 2-air mechanism with the original tune sheet. Circa 1880.
